Samana peninsula that knows its attractions and is aware of its exceptional nature is gradually developing an ecological tourism respectful of nature and shares the deep aspiration to become a green destination.

In every corner of the peninsula, green projects, large and small, multiply and invite independent travelers to experience a new style of vacation.

Small guest houses, eco-lodges and bungalows are built in natural landscapes involving local artisans and farmers in their constructions and activities. Several producers and traders offer services more natural and eco-responsible. Dominicans and foreign residents walk hand in hand in the purpose to keep the peninsula welcoming, natural and glowing.

It is true that it would be a shame that Samana Peninsula neglects what the heaven has miraculously offered to the place: countless of divine virgin beaches, land covered with coconut tree, the unique site Haitises National Park, the annual exclusive appointment with thousands of humpback whales and many other treasures… at a time when the inhabitants of the planet seem to regret having abused nature.

“The last will be the first”, the region of Samana, thanks to late development, is still preserved from mass tourism and can be proud of having conserved its idyllic environment with an evolution in harmony with nature, and why not, one day, become the first eco-responsible destination in the Dominican Republic.
